Tefillin - In this program, children will have the opportunity to
experience the holy ritual of putting on Tefillin, even before reaching
their Bar-Mitzvah. Alongside this hands-on practice, they will delve
into the significance of Tefillin in Jewish tradition, learning about its
symbolism and profound spiritual meaning.
● Tefillah - In this program, the children will embark on a journey to
learn the art of prayer. Our primary focus will be on mastering the two
most significant daily Tefillahs: the Shema Yisrael and the Amida,
also known as the silent prayer. As the program unfolds, we will
gradually introduce the morning blessings and explore specific
prayers from Tehillim (Psalms), empowering the children to connect
deeply with their spiritual heritage through prayer.
● Learning - During this program, the children will divide into groups,
with each group guided by a dedicated counselor. We'll organize the
groups based on the children's overall level of Jewish education,
ensuring that each child receives tailored instruction and support..
- Before Bar Mitzvah: Our counselors will engage the children in
discovering the beautiful melodies, or Ta’amim, of the Torah and
how to apply them when reading. Together, we'll delve into the
Maftir, the final three verses of the Torah, analyzing and
learning them until the children feel confident enough to read it
in front of the whole community on Shabbat!!!
- After Bar Mitzvah: For those who are already proficient in
Torah reading and familiar with the tunes, we'll offer
opportunities to refine their skills and deepen their
understanding. Additionally, they will learn the art of reading the
Haftarah along with its melodies.
● Recess & Snacks - Following the prayers and davening, the children
will have a well-deserved 20-minute break to stretch their muscles
and rejuvenate their minds. Eretz will be there to provide water and
snacks, ensuring that everyone stays happy and satisfied throughout
the break.
● Presentation - We invite the kids for one last, delightful program
designed to spark curiosity and joy in our youth’s minds & hearts.
They'll enjoy an engaging video presentation exploring different
aspects of Judaism, making learning both fun and interactive. The
goal of this program is to broaden their understanding of Jewish
traditions in an enjoyable way, leaving them eager for more.
Payment: For each Sunday - 15$ per kid.
